"Toilet Journey" is an app that links to your current location and allows you to search for and display public toilets in Japan.

【Toilet search】

Using open data from Hokkaido, Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa, Osaka, Aichi, Kyoto, Ishikawa, and Fukuoka prefectures, public toilets within a 1 kilometer radius of your current location are displayed on the map.
You can search for public toilets published in open data from Hokkaido, Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa, Osaka, Aichi, Kyoto, Ishikawa, and Fukuoka prefectures.

【Quick Toilet】

Tapping the "Nearby Toilets" button on the map will display routes to the nearest public toilets (up to 5 locations) from your current location.
Depending on how many times you tap the button, the route will change to the second nearest toilet, the third nearest toilet, etc.

【Toilet information details】

You can check information about the selected toilet by tapping the toilet pin on the map. The information you can check is as follows:

Toilet name
Toilet address
Photos of toilets (toilets whose photos are not published in the open data will not be displayed)
Gender-specific availability
Availability of facilities for infants and toddlers
Availability of ostomate facilities
Wheelchair accessibility
Availability of multi-function toilets
Operating hours
Additional information on operating hours

You can also access route guidance, how to use the restrooms, and review posting screens from the information details screen.

【Route guidance】

The route to the selected toilet will be displayed.
You can also check the distance to the toilet and how long it will take to get there.

【Multilingual】

This app is available in five languages: Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), and Korean.

【How to use the toilet】

Aimed primarily at foreign visitors to Japan, this site provides information in five languages on how to use toilets in Japan.

【Filter function】

By pressing the filter button on the top right of the screen, you can search for toilets by specifying the toilet facilities.
Filterable toilet facilities include:

Availability of multi-function toilets

【Hospitality Toilet】

It introduces a quirky toilet.
